Samsung N110 and N120 Mini Notebooks

Late April 09, Samsung announced the launch of their new line of Notebook Computers – N110 and N120 Notebooks. Samsung is focusing on three important metrics – design, ergonomics and battery life, to serve better to the home and business segment consumers.

The all new Samsung N110 and N120 feature enhanced battery life, multi-media gadgets and larger keyboard and touchpad. These key features will satisfy consumers looking for a longer battery life while on the go and those who love their notebooks to do more than just handling the business stuff. The multi-media speakers are integrated to provide crystal clear sounds and music.

The N110 and N120 are mini notebooks and the dimensions are 10.27 inch (W) x 1.19 inch (H) x 7.3 inch (D) and weight is only 2.78 lbs. The mini notebooks are powered with a 6-cell (5900mAh) lithium battery providing battery life up to 9 hours of continuous use. Now that’s simply amazing!

Samsung N110 and N120 Features

The N110 mini notebooks run on Intel Atom Processor N270 (1.60GHz, 533MHz, L2-512KB), OS-Windows XP Home with Service Pack 3, 1GB (DDR2 / 1GB x 1) RAM, 160GB (5400 rpm SATA) Hard Drive, 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet, 3-in-1 Card Reader (SD, SDHC, MMC), 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1.3 Megapixel Web Camera, Six-cell (5900mAh) Lithium ion battery, 3 W Stereo Speaker (1.5 Watt x 2 ) and One-Year International Collect and Return Warranty.

The N120 mini notebooks have almost similar features except these:
Dimensions: 10.71” (W) x 1.71” (H) x 7.4” (D), 3 W Stereo Speaker (1.5 Watt x 2 ) with Subwoofer and 97% Full-size keyboard.

Since the N120 is a better computer with better speakers and multi-media options, the same battery lasts for 6 hours of continuous usage. The N110 batter lasts for 9 hours of continuous usage. The 1.3 Megapixel web camera is one of the best gadgets that allows web conferences, in these mini notebooks.

The best thing about this computer is the Processor, RAM and the sweet 1.3 Megapixel camera. I purchased a Sony notebook last year which didn’t have an in-built web cam. For laptops, it is good to have an inbuilt webcam. Otherwise, you will have to purchase an external camera and then fiddle around to put it somewhere so that others can see you properly. Damn, I wish I had purchased mine with an in-built cam. Good review.

Definitely, the 1.3 megapixel camera is a goodie on this notebook. Thanks for sharing the news.
