These smallest hd camcorders are looking very attractive. I was thinking about to purchase the one for my son but i didn’t finalize my decision yet. But now after reading your post i am going to purchase it for my son. I am sure he ‘ll like it. I am going to get the blue one for my son coz blue color is his favorite color. This is a fun toy, not an all purpose HD camcorder. If you want a pocket sized device that takes a decent video, and has great built-in software for easy sharing and creative projects, this is the product for you. It is very easy to use. I feel like my grandmother could master the Mino in a few minutes.

I have owned it for a few days now, and I have been playing with it almost non-stop. At work, I know at least two people who have ordered them based on playing with mine. The software allows you to share the video by sending web links, capture still shots from the video, upload to a variety of websites, burn to disks, and several other features.

I bought one of these last year. I have been nothing but happy with it. Yes, it can be a bit hard to hold still, but no harder than my old DV tape video camera. And it’s a heck of a lot lighter!

I’ve used it on a tripod, and that works fine. It turns on quickly. The video quality is great. I can play it back on my 23″ monitor, and it looks fine. The only thing I miss from my old camera is the optical zoom, but I can live without that, considering the advantages.

It works fine with my video software. The video is H.264, and does look nice. Before you dump on the video quality, take a look at it.

The Flip Mino HD is the best pocket camera and camcorder. I’m so happy to own one. It is stylish, compact, small, durable and when I need any help the Flip Mino HD users manual becomes handy. It has all the information I need to know about my Flip Mino Camcorder. Overall, a great product from Flip! Rating I would give for this camcorder 10 out of 10!

Hay, I love Flip MinoHD Camcorder because it is compact, sleek and stylish. The picture quality is great too. I have a question, will a flip camcorder play on a mac 10.2 ? Please advice, I wish to purchase one for my father and he has a mac computer.

Thats a good question Richard.
If you check the MinoHD service manual, it shows how to recharge the battery. All you have to do is pull out the USB arm and connect it to a USB port on your computer. The blinking light on the USB arm indicates that it is charging. The light will automatically stop when it is fully charged. If your Flip MinoHD camcorder’s battery is fully discharged, it takes up to 3 hours to fully charge it. But if you have purchased an adapter while purchasing your camcorder, the adapter can fully charge it in 2 hours. Please also remember, after your camcorder is fully charged, you can leave it connected to the USB port or to the adapter. But removing it will help preserving the battery’s lifespan and performance. So, when the light on the USB arm stops blinking, remove it from the charger.
