I have been dealing with computer security software since 10 years and have always used Symantec security software, it is the best and will always be the best. Why? Because Symantec is the most experienced company when you talk about security software. Although there were a few issues with the Norton security 2009 (computer slow down, etc) but the Norton 2010 version is much faster. The reason why the 2009 version was slow because there was extra security provided by default in the 2009 version and not everyone knew how to tweak the security settings. Anyway, the Norton Antivirus 2010 or the Norton Internet Security 2010 are by far the best security software for Windows 7.
It looks like you have researched good enough and I’m happy to see Norton on the #1 position. Good list.

Not many people have tried the PC tools internet security, it is the ultimate security software for windows vista and windows 7.

I agree with the list but I think ESET Nod 32 is the best antivirus for windows 7 because it is very fast and does not slow the computer.

Wow, CA internet security is really good. I just got a brand new computer with windows 7. I’m already loving the windows 7 software and looking for a good internet security software. although it came with a trial software but going to buy the complete internet security soon. thanks for the recommendations and suggestions.

Symantec has always been the leader in Antivirus software and internet security software. Windows 7 is very user friendly and I believe, norton antivirus is the best for windows 7 operating system.

I believe CA security is the best. Computer Associates is the only antivirus/security company that provides coverage of $10,000 in case they are unable to protect your computer.
